“Red Cross Society” was established in 1867 in Geneva by Jean Henry Dunant. Youth Red Cross is a constituent of the Indian Red Cross Society (Karnataka).
Principles of YRC
Youth Red Cross (YRC) is a voluntary service which supports humanitarian services in health-related services to the community through voluntary services. In RTES Degree college, YRC unit came into existence in the year 2013. In the year 2020-21. YRC volunteers are enrolled from the First- and Second-year degree classes. Presently, there are about 200 YRC volunteers enrolled.

The YRC, NCC and NSS unit along with our students continuously thriving towards organizing various social activities, one of them being blood donation. Each unit of blood donated is separated into four major components – platelets, plasma, red blood cells and white blood cells which can be used to save at least three lives. In order to take this noble exertion to the next level, an online Blood Donor’s Register has been created. The Register provides names and contact numbers willing to donate blood which can be made us of by one and all.
