College Science Forum:

“All of science is nothing more than the refinement of everyday thinking.”

Objective

    • To develop a general interest in science.
    • To inculcate scientific attitude and provide opportunities for training in scientific method.
    • To develop interest in scientific hobbies.
    • To encourage individual and group activities.
    • To make the students and public science minded.
    • To stimulate active participation and initiative among the students in learning process.
    • To keep the students in touch with the recent advances in science.
    • We discuss how to use this conceptual basis for applications in the real world.
    • Going beyond the syllabi in search of Novelty and Enthusiasm in Science.
    • Learn about developments in your field and current trends in Research.
    • Extend your contribution in development of science.
    • Participate National and International in Science based Conferences.
    • Trips to research institutes like IISc, BARC etc.
  • Observation of important days (National Science Day, Environment Day, Health Day, Earth Day etc.).
  • Preparation of Model / Exhibits for participation in Science Fair.
  • Science Drama Performance
  • Seminar on specific Science & Technology issues.

Annual Calendar –

  1. Observation of Important Days: At least 4 important days (National Science Day, Earth Day etc.)
  2. Science Drama: Participation in Science Drama Competition.
  3. Science Exhibition: Preparation of exhibits/models by the students and participation in Competition.
  4. Audio–Visual Shows: On different topic on Science, Technology & Environment; quarterly once such as multimedia presentations, LCD projectors etc.
  5. Meet the Scientist / Popular Talk: On important Science, Technology & Environment topics.
  6. Seminars: A seminar on suitable topics inviting research papers may be arranged.
