Sri. V K. Sawkar, when he founded the institution, envisioned an institution that creates individuals who are not only educated, but aware. A highly skilled, culturally vibrant, socially responsible individual with a sound mind and healthy persona that can stand as a model to the rest of the society. The institution, being well aware of the efforts and time required, has been providing a ‘Conducive and Positive Atmosphere’ as a priority with unaltered focus, without any compromise.
To begin with, RTES Arts Science and Commerce Degree College hosts a good ecological campus, spread over an area of 27.31 acres, providing the students with a healthy atmosphere to learn in, which has been certified Green Campus.
We provide the students with spacious infrastructure with well-established laboratories with full-fledged computerized library. These facilities can be utilized under the guidance of our faculty members who are highly competent in their respective fields with a passion for teaching.
All of this infrastructure and facilities are utilized by our students through regular classes, extra-curricular activities and outreach programs. Our students learn from the classes and also through teaching and practice through the numerous programs we organize each year for their benefit.
This atmosphere is encompassed by a security system with strict and stringent rules in place that prevent any external entities from interfering in the process of education, on campus. All external visitors are monitored and unwanted entries banned.
The teachers constantly monitoring the development and aiding the process and providing appropriate assistance to slow-learners to improve their performance.
Students are also provided with numerous opportunities during their course to take part in department-level to national-level competitions, during which our students develop a highly efficient skillset, grow their interests and bring laurels to our institution.
We introduce certificate/value-added courses that are update regularly, programs covering the latest developments coupled with the latest efficient teaching methods, that give rise to innovation and creativity among our students. These practices are available to every single student irrespective of their background, academic performance or ability.
We have made it a priority to ensure that the academic routine and the learning process is not interrupted irrespective of events beyond campus. During the Covid-19 crisis, we were one of the first institutions in the region to organize classes and extension activities in online mode.
Students of our college have represented the college at various national level and international level platforms bringing in medals, trophies and laurels to college. Our students have marched on during the Republic Day parade from NSS, NCC and have represented their units or battalions at various national level camps.
During COVID-19 Pandemic, Units of NSS, Youth Red Cross and NCC companies have over the years, taken countless initiatives for the benefit of the society through awareness, and outreach.
Our students are also placed in reputed companies through placement on-campus and off-campus while a greater number opts for higher studies and research. Our college has produced students who not only are successful people with jobs, but also working towards improving society through social work and activities.
Social virtues are the integral part of the human existence. Hence the awareness programmes on legal matters, voting power, Oath taking, Drug abuse are organized every year.
The virtues related to the preservance of nature are taught through the programmes on Ozone Day, World Land Day, Wild Life Week, World Bio-diversity Day that take them closer to the nature.
Programmes on ‘Values & Ethics on Academic Leadership’ & ‘Professional Ethics & Standards’ have served as guidelines for the staff.
Therefore, a student of RTES College emerges with not a degree but advanced skills, high values, pure ethics with fine-tuned disciplines, who leaves the college, contributes to the society and lives his life as a responsible individual, acting as a role model for other in the society to learn from and follow.
All of this is possible solely because of the ‘Conducive Atmosphere’ we provide to our students with unaltered focus, observing challenges and making amendments to our methodologies to improve upon, provide the best and for our students, which is our institutional distinctiveness.
