Aims and Objectives

  • To help the students to get practical command over English Language.
  • To provide ample opportunities to improve English language skills like LSRW.
  • To develop self study habit.

High lights of the department.

  • The department was established in 1967 and it is one of the compulsory courses for all streams.
  • The department of English possesses language lab with advance software e-Class with an intension.
  • To remove hesitation and fear of spoken English.
  • To develop LSRW Skills.
  • To develop communication skills.
  • To prepare for interviews .
  • One day Webinar on “New Trends In Language Learning.” On 26th July 2021.
  • A special lecture was organised on 15th July 2022 on the topic of “ Use of Technology in communication skills. With special reference to Language lab.”

 

Further Plans

  • To conduct National and State level Seminars / Conferences.
  • To introduce Self financed Certificate course in ‘Spoken and Written English”
